EMLC Academy Trust submits bids for £20m school site

From Northampton Chronicle: 'EMLC Academy Trust (which sponsors three primary schools in Northampton) is making a bid to run a new £20 million school on the site of a former Royal Mail sorting office.'


The EMLC Academy Trust, set up in July 2012, said its bid would build on links with nearby Castle Academy School in St George’s Street which it took over in January.

(Accounts show: 5% of each academy's gag is paid for the central service charge (p33) totalling £93,000 from two primary schools.
One of the academies, Orchard Primary School, has a £16,531 funding deficit related to 'school improvement plans'.
