The Yorkshire Post reports that Sandhill Multi-Academy Trust has withdrawn its sponsorship of Brookfield Primary Academy 'following talks with the Department for Education and the regional schools commissioner (Jenny Bexon-Smith)' adding that Wakefield City Academies Trust (WCAT) will take over.
Sandhill referred The Yorkshire Post to the RSC when asked why it had withdrawn. WCAT said the trust had been approached by the RSC about taking over. Brookfield is its 13th academy. CEO AllunYellup said: 'The trust’s academies are focused on a small geographical area...'
