Coventry secondary school Cardinal Wiseman Catholic School, is joining six Catholic primary schools to become a multi-academy trust called the Romero Catholic Academy according to the Coventry Telegraph.
The paper reported Cardinal Wiseman Catholic School chairman of governors Pat Garner saying: “The governors feel that there are exciting opportunities to work together and to access money allocated from central government for joint work. Each school will keep its own name, uniform, budget, governing body and head teacher but we will be members of the Romero Catholic Academy.”
The primary schools involved are:
Corpus Christi Primary School, Good Shepherd Primary School, Sacred Heart Primary School, St John Fisher Primary School, St Gregory’s Primary School, St Patrick’s Primary School, and SS Peter and Paul’s Catholic Primary School.
