Academy chain welcomes idea of Ofsted inspections

From the Bristol Post:

The paper said: 'The most dominant groups are national outfits Oasis and E-Act, which together preside over nine schools in the Bristol area, and large regional chain Cabot Learning Federation (CLF), which has a stable of 10 academies.'

David Carter, chief executive officer of CLF, welcomed the possible change.

He said: "I welcome the fact that Ofsted are now intending to inspect academy groups.

"We are confident that the level of support and challenge we provide for our academies will be recognised as being very effective and would enjoy demonstrating to an inspection team that the CLF is one of the strongest collaborative organisations in the South West."
