E-act stripped of 10 academies

From the Daily Telegraph:

The paper reported: 'E-ACT, a charity that sponsors 34 state-funded schools, is handing control of 10 back to the Government after a series of inspections by Ofsted unearthed weaknesses.

'Those taken from E-ACT include two in the South West (Dartmouth and Forest academies), two in Yorkshire (Leeds East and Leeds West) and two in the Midlands (Trent Valley and Sherwood academies).

'Two members of the E-ACT board have also resigned.

Last year the Education Funding Agency criticised the way E-ACT handled its schools’ accounts.
