Multi-academy trust plans floated in West Somerset

From This Is The West Country:

Governors at West Somerset College have voted to push forward plans to create a single body to run schools across the district.

Chair of governors, Martin McNeill told the paper they were working with Dulverton Middle School (that a multi-academy trust would be an alternative to Dulverton Middle closing) adding 'We will now be looking to persuade our fellow governors at the Exmoor (three schools) and Quantock Federations (three schools), at Minehead Middle School and at the self-governing first schools across the area that a multi-academy trust is the best way of achieving the outcomes for our young people that we would all like to see.'
