Coventry academy looks to build a new school

From the Coventry Telegraph:

In May, governors at Finham Park School, a specialist maths and computing college which became an academy in August 2011, will bid to the government for funds to open the new school.

Head Mark Bailie, said: 'As a successful converter academy that is oversubscribed every year, and given the city council’s stated need for additional places in Coventry, this seems like an ideal opportunity...'

He said the academy would be non-religious – in contrast with two new schools opening this year in Coventry, the Sikh Seva School and the Muslim Coventry Leadership Academy for Girls.
