Nottingham Samworth's pre warning letter

Nottingham University Samworth Academy (NUSA) has received a "pre-warning" letter
from Schools Minister Lord Nash.

The academy was graded as 'inadequate' by Ofsted last year then only 32% of pupils achieved at least five A*-C grades down from 35% falling further below the Government's 40% floor.

From the Nottingham Post
'The academy has been taken over by the Torch Academy Gateway Trust, which also runs Toot Hill in Bingham and Meden in Mansfield.

'New head of school Mark Watts has insisted progress is possible. He said: 'The timetable re-write enabled us to put teachers back into their specialist areas, and we have already started to recruit new teachers and leaders who will play a key role in moving the academy forwards.
