Academy trust signs partnership deal with council

From The Shields Gazette: An education partnership has been signed by South Tyneside Council and South Tyneside College Academy Trust.



The paper said: It 'will see the borough’s college and its partners unite with the council’s education department to improve schools identified as needing specialist support as and when necessary.'

It said the college becoming the sponsor of Ridgeway Primary School, in January 2013 was an example.

Lindsey Whiterod OBE, the college’s chief executive
Coun Joan Atkinson, South Tyneside Council’s lead member for children, young people and families.
