Bristol free school admissions debate

From Bristol24-7: http://www.bristol247.com/2014/01/08/bristol-free-school-head-defends-admission-policy-14275/

Opposing Bristol Cathedral Primary school's admissions policy Christine Townsend said its large catchment area meant few people could afford to travel to the school.

The school's head, Neil Blundell writing for Bristol24-7 said... the policy was backed by the Department for Education. He added that the school’s “vision” of providing a specialist music curriculum meant it would be a “nonsense” to limit admissions from a smaller, city centre area.
