Should free schools win friends and influence people? Fulham Boys

From Get West London: http://www.getwestlondon.co.uk/news/west-london-news/questions-raised-over-tory-councillors-6558788

'A Hammersmith and Fulham councillor is denying suggestions that her friendship with the founder of a free school was the reason she voted to close a primary school'

The paper reports Councillor Georgie Cooney replying: 'Being the cabinet member for education, I have many friendships with people who work in the borough’s schools.'

She was one of eight councillors who took the decision at a meeting to close Sulivan Primary School which could be demolished to make way for a permanent home for Fulham Boys.
